WABA Technical Director Matt Suggitt embodies a soccer pro with every action and phrase he emits. Matt's hallmark traits are insightful soccer wisdom, creative inspiring practice plans, a special gift for motivating and relating to developing youth, plus always being there to lend an ear. He has built an international soccer reputation over the last 14 years that took root from his childhood dream. At the early age of 7, Matt was scouted by and subsequently joined the prestigious Leeds United Academy. There he found his first love-futball. Matt’s character and soccer talent quickly developed at Leeds by being part of a world class Premier League academy system and influenced by role models like James Milner, Aaron Lennon, and Fabian Delph.
After Leeds United Academy, Matt started to forge his professional soccer career at York City FC. While studying his FA Level 1 and 2 license coursework at York College he discovered his second love – coaching.
