4-Phase Player Development Process

WABA's revolutionary systems accelerate individual soccer mastery by using the 4-Phase Player Development Process, Assess-Learn-Practice-Play. Rapid advancement is supercharged by creating an individualized curriculum, delivered in small group sessions (1-6 participants). These modules use the latest technology delivered by USSF and UEFA licensed mentor coaches.

Phase 1 - Assess, sets a baseline for technical skills, athleticism, cognitive skills, and vision. With these assessments a 1:1 Modular Development Curriculum is crafted into an Annual Development Plan guided by WABA's Player Development Philosophy. Phase 2 - Learn, is where players discover proper form, accuracy, and style with WABA's innovative learning modules, aided by technology using the VARK learning model. Phase 3 - Practice, WABA's innovative and motivating practice phase was developed with the help and guidance of world renowned expert, Anders Ericsson, the father of deliberate practice. Using fun and creative practice methods players push their performance out of their comfort zone to elite levels.

Phase 4 - Play, the final phase where creativity, confidence, and decision making all comes together by playing innovative small sided WABA games.

WABA's 4-Phase Player Development Process loops back at many junctures to keep learning and improvements on a steady path forward. The Assess-Learn-Practice-Play Process is monitored on a personal dashboard using WABA track and included with all monthly memberships. WABA development, "Where Serious Fun is #1".

Phase 1 - Assess

The Assess Phase is the beginning of the WABA 4-Phase Player Development Process. It starts with a baseline assessment which will produce normative data to compare players skill's against athletes around the world. This baseline helps to show players and parents growth metrics when compared to future monthly assessments. Players can choose to take Monthly Assessments or

in-depth Mastery Assessments using module credits included in their monthly membership.

With assessment in hand, players craft a monthly 1:1 Development Curriculum that maximizes individual growth. This curriculum should take into account WABA's 8-Sided Player Development Philosophy which balances all aspect of a players body and mind. Using WABA track players monitor monthly progress on a personal dashboard and choose future modules that best aligns with their soccer goals.

WABA mentor is an optional program where a players is assigned a mentor coach to follow their progress annually. A Comprehensive Assessment helps create the framework of a individualized Annual Development Plan. This program includes monthly: video recorded semi-private training modules, sit-down evaluations and planning meetings, club practice and game evaluations.

The Assess Phase leads into the Learn-Practice-Play Phases.

Phase 4 - Play

Play, the final and most important phase of soccer development that leads to falling in love with the beautiful game. This is where learning and practice all come together to shine bright.

WABA believes in the philosophy of guided free-play with minimal conditions and coaching. The WABA environment promotes experimentation and feeling comfortable making mistakes while venturing outside one's comfort zone. With technical skills mastered in prior phases players work on decision making and problem solving under pressure in small sided innovative games. Players self-confidence, comfort on the ball, and creativity blossom while playing games that were tailored to sharpen specific technical skills in challenging game situation.

WABA games are comprised of forty 1v1 and 2v2 small sided games that promote technical and tactical mastery through gamification of practice. WABstAcles are soccer obstacle courses that improve graceful movement, responsive tumbling, agility, and technical ball skills, all in a fluid competition against competitors and the clock. WABA mind games help to enhance cognitive decision making skills, motor integration, and vision in athletes. These games can be strung together with assess, learn, and practice modules to form a daily integrated curriculum using monthly membership credits.
